Running at Camphill Village

I gained a lot of weight over the last few years, so much that i was diagnosed with prediabetes. I decided that this year I would become a new me, a much healthier me. It's been tough, I lost 15lbs so far this year but i still have a ways to go. My wife suggested I run a 5K this year and to my luck I came across this one. I am going to prove to myself I can make it and do anything I put my mind to just by putting one foot in front of the other.

I am running because Camphill is such a special community that I support and enjoy visiting (& my aunt Marian) any chance I get! (Photo is of aunt Marian and her nieces and nephew at Camphill)

Our Aunt Anne has lived in Camphill Village for more than 50 years. We are running to show our love for her and to show our support for this beautiful and amazing community. We love Camphill and all of the extraordinary people who live there!

Since I live in Camphill, I think that would be a fun and healthy way to raise awareness of the Village and the people that live and work here.

I run because I have such a fondness for Camphill, all its good work and all the amazing people I have met there!! I volunteered as a co-worker 10 years ago and now I'm a nurse in the Medical Office. I'm excited to do something I love (running) with this beautiful community.

I'm participating in the Camphill 5K because I'm incredibly grateful to work in such a wonderful community surrounded by even more amazing people.

I am dedicating the last 5K of my 50K Ultra Marathon on
May 20th at the Florida Keys 100 Relay & Ultra Marathon to Camphill! It is my first Ultra, and I promise to do everything in my power to assure I finish strong so those last miles can raise funds for a wonderful community.

I'm running because I used to be a co-worker in Camphill Village from 2005 - 2006, and want to keep my fond memories alive and bring to the attention of others a great cause and place to live.

I was a co-worker of Camphill and I love running. I feel the need to be part of the cause. I run in college and I have run over 300 races across the United States.

I am excited to have a goal to jump start my running again. It has made all the better that I will be supporting Camphill Village and running with my colleagues of all abilities while visiting another Camphill community!

I am running because my coworker shared this event with me and I realized it's right in my little town of Copake! I used to waitress at a local restaurant and waited on the residents and staff of Camphill for many years. A wonderful organization that deserves community support.

I just started working at Camphill in February, and I'm already in love with it. I'm really excited to become more involved in the community here.

I'm a former coworker at the Village, and this is a great way to support the wonderful work you all do, and to see the changes that have occurred since I left (more years ago than I wish to admit to!).
